Betting syndicate Ladbrokes have this afternoon released updated odds on a potential David de Gea move away from Manchester United this summer.
de Gea’s rise to stardom
28-year-old shot-stopper de Gea made the move to Old Trafford from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
The Rojiblancos youth product initially struggled to settle, though, with many having questioned whether or not de Gea would be capable of fulfilling his unquestionable potential under the bright lights of one of world football’s biggest clubs.
However, the years since have seen the Madrid native do just that, and more.
de Gea has established himself as one of, if not the finest goalkeeper on the planet over recent seasons, cementing his status as Manchester United’s most important player, as well as an ever-present between the posts for Spain.

de Gea’s contract standoff
However, with United having, to this point, largely failed to capitalize on their shot-stopper’s brilliance in terms of securing meaningful silverware, de Gea has inevitably been linked with a possible departure from Old Trafford over the last couple of seasons.
In addition, the Spaniard’s contract situation has done little to stunt the flow of rumours surrounding his future, with de Gea’s current deal set to expire next summer:

The Manchester Evening News reported yesterday that the Red Devils’ board are prepared to carry negotiations with their no.1 and his representatives beyond the coming summer, though talks have, to this point, proven largely unproductive.
And, as per the aforementioned update courtesy of Ladbrokes, De Gea’s increasingly-uncertain future at Old Trafford has this morning seen the odds on a potential departure for the 28-year-old this summer slashed.
Ligue 1 giants PSG, meanwhile, are named as De Gea’s most likely destination:
