Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly leading Manchester United in the race to sign Ryan Sessegnon from Fulham at the end of the campaign.
The 18-year-old has endured a difficult first season in the Premier League where the Cottagers have already been relegated, but he still remains highly-rated among the English sides.
According to The Mirror, the Cottagers are bracing themselves for the departure of Sessegnon with the youngster having just 15 months remaining on his existing deal with the club.
It is added that the west London side could be forced to sell him for just half of the previous £50m valuation unless they want to risk him for the final year of his contract.
Tottenham and United are both said to be interested in the England youth international, but the former apparently have the head start with Mauricio Pochettino‘s reputation of grooming and developing young English players.
Spurs have made no signings over the past two transfer windows, but that is expected to change this time around with the club aiming to close the gap on the title challengers next term.
