Van Persie claims that Arsenal have the edge over the Blues going into the final in a week’s time.

Despite Maurizio Sarri’s side finishing third and above the Gunners, the Dutchman believes his former side are better.

The north London club will be looking to reproduce the perfomance back at the start of the year which saw them beat Chelsea 2-0.

Although in the first meeting between the two sides, it was Chelsea who won 3-2 at Stamford Bridge.

Both sides have experienced mixed seasons under their new managers, but the winner in Baku is sure to have their campaign dubbed a success.

Van Persie admitted:

“Personally, I think Arsenal have the edge. They’re a little bit better.

“But Chelsea have Eden Hazard and he is a very special player – at any time he can come up with something.”
