Ndidi impresses for Leicester
Wilfred Ndidi joined Leicester City in the summer of 2017 from Belgian outfit Genk, for a fee believed to be around £15.8 million.
The Nigerian has since gone on to play 101 games across all competitions for the Foxes.
In those 101 games, the midfielder has scored six and assisted six.
At just 22 years of age, Ndidi is proving himself to be a very competent Premier League midfielder.
This past season saw Ndidi start in all 38 of Leicester City’s Premier League outings, scoring two in those games.
Ndidi responds to transfer rumours
After another successful season in England, Ndidi looks to be attracting the attention of some big clubs.
According to Goal, the Leicester man is earning the interest of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.
Ndidi is currently on international duty with Nigeria.
Nigeria had a friendly with Senegal on Sunday evening, ahead of kicking off their African Cup of Nations campaign versus Burundi on Saturday the 22nd of June.
Ahead of the tournament, Ndidi spoke to Goal about the transfer speculation surrounding him:
“I am flattered when hearing such a thing.
“It is very good to hear about that interest from big clubs, but there is nothing on the ground so I won’t care about it.
“I am focusing on AFCON with Nigeria now, and then pre-season with Leicester City. We have a great manager with ambition to compete with big clubs in the Premier League.” As quoted by the Manchester Evening News.
